We basically have this where I live as I’ve talked about here before… Big tarantulas up in Northern California. Me and my brother used to actually “hunt” them. I’d lug around this big bucket of water that we’d pour down into their holes, and once it was flooded out, my brother would use an axe and chop it up to pieces.
Or on his birthday one year, he and his friends collected like 5 in a box, and the next day, only 1 was left and the rest were just legs and miscellaneous body parts. They cannibalize any weaker males so that the alpha is the only one the females will find. Kindov like high school.
